Prioritising your health and wellbeing is an essential for living a happy, fulfilling life.
Relaxing in a ‘Griffon Forest’ hot tub in a natural woodland environment can provide several unique benefits including:
Reduced Stress and Improved Relaxation.
The combination of warm water, massage jets and natural surrounding can help sooth the body and mind, leading to greater relaxation and a sense of calm.

Take home a more positive outlook on life and feel ready to face any of life’s challenges. This natural setting will help to reduce any feelings of anxiety and depression.
Increased sensory stimulation.
The woodland environment provides a variety of sensory experiences, including the sound of leaves rustling in the wind, the scent of trees, sight of birds and other wildlife. All helping to promote a greater sense of connection to the natural world and enhance relaxation.
Improved cardiovascular health.
A daily soak in a hot tub can keep your heart healthy. The heat can help increase your heart rate, lower your blood pressure and improve your circulation.
Pain relief.
Soaking in a hot tub can help relieve muscle and joint pain, particularly for those who suffer from conditions like arthritis or chronic pain. The heat helps increase blood flow and reduces inflammation.

….. Oh and its loads of FUN!
Can I choose my lodge location?
Yes – Lodges are allocated at the time of booking. If you are booking online make a note in the comments section and we will allocate the requested lodge if available.
Can I charge my electric vehicle at the lodge?
No – The nearest 3-phase charging point is at Sandburn Hall Hotel. We do not allow vehicles to be charged from lodges. Please note that you will need to install an app (PodPoint) and there will be a charge.
Can I get a supermarket delivery to the lodge?
Yes – You will need to add our address and your lodge number to the booking. Please arrange for the delivery to come after the 4pm check in time. There is a small shop on site selling essentials if you forget something.
Which lodge is the best one to see badgers from?
There are setts all around site, so there isn’t a specific lodge that would be more likely to have badgers. As the badgers are wild animals, we cannot guarantee they will be seen during your stay. If you put peanuts and peanut butter on the decking this will entice them to hopefully visit!
Can I park outside the lodge?
Yes – There is a space outside each lodge that will fit at least two cars. Please do not park on the grass verges as these can get soft in bad weather and we don’t want you to get stuck!
Is there anything to do on the estate with children?
Yes – Lots! Children will enjoy spotting the wildlife around the estate, collect a free spotting sheet from reception, to tick them off as you explore. There are lots of walking trails around the woodland to explore, with great spaces to make dens or use your explorer kit to find insects, bugs and collect sticks or leaves. There is also a playing field with goal posts to play sports and a covered bench for tired legs!
Can I have friends/family to visit me during my stay?
Yes you can! Just pop into reception and let the team know the number of visitors and car registration number, so we can keep a track of the vehicles on site. Please be aware that the use of the hot tub is only for the guests staying in the lodge.
Are all the lodges dog friendly?
No – We have a set number of lodges on the site, which are specially reserved and equipped for welcoming dogs. We allow a maximum of 2 dogs per pet friendly lodge (Premier lodges allow 3 dogs) – please note there is a charge per dog and any dogs need to be added at the time of booking.
Are there any pubs or restaurants on the estate or nearby I can take my dog into?
Yes – The Sports Bar and Tykes Restaurant allow dogs (you will need to pre book for Tykes), and you get 10% discount during your stay by showing your keys. Ask in reception for a list of other pubs in the area.
Are towels provided in my lodge?
Yes – The number of towels provided depends on the lodge type:
Keepers & Woodmans Lodges have 1 x Bath Sheet & 1 x Hand Towel per person.
Gardeners, Poachers, Hunters, Poachers Premier, Gardeners Premier & Family Premier Lodges all have 2 x Bath Sheets & 1 Hand Towel per person.
