CORONAVIRUS - UPDATE 26th November 2020

Following the new Lockdown, Griffon Forest is now closed but we will be covering the Griffon Forest reception on a Monday-Friday. Our phone lines will only be manned on a minimal basis, however we will endeavour to answer any voicemails left. We do ask where possible to please get in contact via email enquiries@griffonforest.co.uk or Facebook messenger with any queries, as this will be the best way to contact us during in this time.

We are taking this time to refurbish our reception area, we will update with the progress of this and how it will be improved for our guests. 

We are hoping we will be able to re-open from the 2nd December, We will continue to update this page as necessary, in the meantime stay safe and we look forward to welcoming you all back to Griffon Forest. Any balances due before this date will not be processed automatically, until we are sure we will be able to open.

We have seen the news on the new tier system and so will be going through bookings due to arrive in December to see who we need to get in touch with. Please bear with us as there are not many of us working with the current lockdown and the Gov.uk website has crashed! If you have booked with Hoseasons they will be contacting you if your booking needs to be altered.

 Balance payments are currently being taken 2 weeks prior to arrival instead of the normal 6 weeks - please be aware this may change in the future.

Our team at Griffon Forest will be working hard to prepare the site and make sure everything is as safe as possible for staff and guests. All customers will be contacted prior to their arrival to discuss the new check in procedure, this is currently arrival between 5pm and 6pm and departure by 9am please. There is strictly no access onto site before the 5pm check in time.

Griffon Forest is currently closed, however the below will still stand once we are able to re-open.

What facilities are still open at Griffon Forest?
 All walks and trails are open and have been maintained during lockdown. Fly fishing is available if you are using your own tackle. We are currently unable to supply bike hire.  Unfortunately the shop will remain closed until further notice. The golf course at Sandburn Hall is available to members and non-members now, a tee time will need to be booked in advance.

Is Tykes restaurant still open?
Tykes restaurant is open again Wednesday to Saturday 11:30am - 9:30pm and Sunday 11:30am - 6pm. To make a reservation you can call the team on 01904 469911 or book online.

Can I get a supermarket delivery still?
If you are eligible to get supermarket deliveries these can be arranged to come to your lodge. Please book delivery for when you will be in the lodge as we are unable to accept this on your behalf. Please note there will be a new check in procedure - we will be in touch prior to arrival to discuss this.

Will anything affect my stay?
The Government has updated the rules regarding restrictions on gatherings in England, a summary of which you can see here. From 14th September, in England, it will be against the law to meet people you do not live with in a group larger than 6 including infants under the age of 2 (unless you are meeting as a household or support bubble) both indoors and outdoors. The Government are also introducing local lockdowns on certain parts of the UK. If you are booked to stay with us and you are booked in a group of 7 or more people, or you have been advised not to do any unnecessary travel (which would include going on holiday), or you have been in contact with someone with Covid-19 or showing symptoms of Covid-19 or you yourself are showing symptoms of Covid-19 please contact us to discuss your options.
